What This Role Is All About
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and motivated individuals to join our team assembling steel frames and trusses in our manufacturing facility.
This is fast paced work on an assembly/production floor.
We are currently a fast-growing company expanding and hiring for our new Factory and would love to create some strong foundation with driven hard-working people.

Job duties & Responsibilities:
**Ability to use hand tools such as an impact drill and rivet gun etc. is mandatory.**

  • 1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in Windows &/or Doors industry is an asset.
  • Communicate effectively in English both verbal and written.
  • Proficient knowledge of using saws, cutting tools, and other hand tools.
  • Be able to use hand tools such as an impact drill and rivet gun etc.
  • Collaborate, as part of a team. Be an excellent team player.
  • Be physically fit for manual handling and labour, lots of lifting required.
  • Skilled with various methods of measurement and verification.
  • Comfortable with units of measure such as mm and inches (metric system).
  • Complete production related documents completely and accurately in a timely manner.
  • Keep work area free from clutter, recycling waste, and removing all dust on a daily basis.
  • Load, unload and move products or materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Track inventory levels and inform supervisor in advance when material is low.
  • Comfortable with computer applications used in the manufacturing process.

Assembly

  • Work with team members to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in the production process.
  • Process work orders as per the sequence number.
  • Finish production on time with quality and safety.
  • Keep work area free from clutter, recycling waste and remove all dust daily.
  • Maintain department, equipment, and materials in a clean and efficient manner.
  • Get precut parts from machining. (hardware, glass, parts).
  • Put all parts together to get products. Precut parts.
  • Pick parts and assemble one by one.
  • Report any shortages as you see them to the cell leader to avoid unnecessary delays in product assembly.

Other Requirements

  • Clear criminal background check.

Working Conditions

  • Lifting and/or carrying anywhere from 0 lbs to 50 lbs.
  • Work in a production facility.
  • Repetitive movements and work.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Involves sitting, walking, standing, bending, stooping on a regular basis.
  • Walking near to heavy tool and moving machinery.
  • Exposure to all types of weather conditions, and dirt, dust and noise.
  • Flexibility in scheduling depending on production demands – able to work day &/or evening shift.
  • Opportunity for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
