Position Overview

Durabuilt Windows & Doors is a rapidly growing Canadian manufacturing leader. We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team in Edmonton. This role is a critical part of our day-to-day financial operations - supporting seamless vendor relationships, accurate accounting records, and timely payment processing. A Typical Day Looks Like 

Accounts Payable (70%)

  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Ensure seamless data synchronization between the automation platform and our ERP system.
  • Code and enter invoice data into our ERP system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to obtain proper approvals for all invoices.
  • Set up and maintain vendor master files within our database.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and perform any required follow-up.
  • Schedule and prepare cheques, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.

General Accounting (30%)

  • Assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, cheque, and credit card transactions.
  • Prepare Project Progress Billing and reconcile project revenue with contracts.
  • Prepare, verify, and process customer invoices and credits.
  • Provide reception desk coverage as needed.
  • Support additional general accounting duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Experience & Education

  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable/receivable and general accounting.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
  • Advanced competency in Sage accounting software.

  • Office-based role in Edmonton; flexible schedule with occasional weekend work depending on business demands.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight timelines and a high degree of attention to detail required.
  • Routinely use standard office equipment including laptops and smartphones.
  • Physical requirements: primarily sedentary with occasional lifting to 20 lbs.
  • Pre-employment requirements: DISC Assessment and clear criminal background check.
